Merlin Gröber is a journalist and photographer based in Southern Germany. He studied history, ethnology and photography in Germany and Canada before completing a Masters in Journalism at the University of Munich and the German School of Journalism (DJS).
He has worked as a freelance journalist and photographer for several years, specialising in outdoor, travel and international reporting. His stories have appeared in several major German newspapers, magazines and TV channels, including GEO, National Geographic, ZEIT, Süddeutsche Zeitung and Bayerischer Rundfunk.
Merlin currently lives and works in Australia.
When not working overseas, he lives in an old camper van and prefers to sleep outdoors rather than indoors.
